Horse Carter

Look at those beautiful creatures!  Horses, that is.  I’ve always felt a little sorry for them...I mean they do get used for a lot of work.  It’s not as bad as it used to be; luckily we have machines now that can do a lot of the manual stuff that horses used to do.  But still, they are an extremely popular animal, used for games and sports, policing and of course pulling carts – which is usually something for special events or functions, often very prestigious ones.

There are lots of different breeds and each horse has its own individual personality. That is why, it is essential that horses are cared for properly.  Lots of us like animals better than people, so if that's you, this is right up your street.

Animal care in general is an extremely satisfying job to have, especially if you are particularly fond of one animal – like horses – and get to spend every day with them.

Hilary Duff has had a passion for horses since childhood.  Even stars like Madonna share the passion!  So it just goes to show that taking care of horses is a popular and even glamorous role – most of the time!

As with anything else it’s not without its downfalls, like cleaning out the stables etc but all of that is really worth it if you feel a passion for the animal.  I’m pretty sure that most of the big stars have people to do all the hard stuff for them, so they just have to worry about the fun bit!

That actually leads me on to another thought!...Get into animal care, and you might end up looking after Madonna’s horses!!! Or indeed any other stars pets.  You could become a VIP Veterinarian, the only person the celebrities trust 100% to take care of their beloved animals.

But if you’re not in it for stardom, just go along to your local pasture (or similar) and offer to do some free part-time work for them.  My friend got started that way, now he is a full time horse carer.  Offering to do work free at the beginning is a great way to show your level of commitment.  After you have proven your dedication and ability you may just be offered a proper job!

I know I’d be happy running around the fields for the rest of my life with my very own black beauty!  But then, I do tend to tint reality with a little rose colour – it makes everything a little sweeter!

Of course tt might be a bit harder for those of you living right in the city...and haven’t even heard of a pasture let alone live near one! But if taking care of animals is your thing, you have put in the effort to find out everything about where they are kept, because that is the starting point to developing your dream into a reality!
