Marketing

Are you the kind of person who can see when something needs done, and just gets on with it?  You could be the perfect person to get into marketing!  Marketing is all about identifying gaps in the market, and coming up with ideas and strategies to provide, promote and sell new products.  It’s an exciting, fast paced, forward moving industry, which would be ideal for those of you who have enthusiasm and drive.  It’s not for me, high fliers, because the fast pace would stress me out!  But I know there are plenty of you out there who would thrive on the thrill of the job.

There are many different types of Marketing, and as such there are loads of Marketing Courses out there.

Glasgow Met College offers a  Hospitality Management Course(http://www.glasgowmet.ac.uk/hospitality-hnc-hnd.aspx) which includes a module on Hospitality Marketing Management.  If you think you’d like to work with the public (brave souls!) in the management side of the hospitality industry (hotels, bars etc), this could be the kind of Marketing course for you!

Once you’ve done your degree and you think Marketing is the career for you, Strathclyde also offers a Masters Degree (a more specialised course which is studied after your undergraduate degree) in International Marketing, which means you can build your own business empire from any corner of the globe!
